July 11 - 12, Warrior Ice Arena

Thank you for an incredible event!

Thank you to all of the players, donors, sponsors, and fans who came out to support the first 24 Hour Hockey Marathon of 2026. Your energy, generosity, and commitment to our mission of bringing joy to the pediatric cancer community made this event truly special—and it did not go unnoticed.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make this kickoff event such a success.

Boston Impact Partner - Christopher’s Haven

For more than 25 years, Christopher’s Haven has provided housing and support to families traveling to Boston for pediatric cancer treatment. Through our partnership, Boston skaters will help create Moments of Joy for families calling Christopher’s Haven home during treatment.

24 Hour Hockey Showcase - Where the Game Begins

Our Warrior Showcase is presented in partnership with Christopher’s Haven. All ticket sale proceeds will go directly to Christopher’s Haven and their mission to provide housing for pediatric cancer.

The 24 Hour Showcase is your invitation to be part of something bigger than the game. Before players lace up for 24 straight hours on the ice, we open the doors for a high-energy celebration of hockey, community, and the families we play for. Grab your jersey, grab your family, and come see what this is all about.

Event Highlights

  • Opening Ceremonies — Player introductions, top fundraiser recognition by the LivFree children they're skating for, National Anthem, and a ceremonial puck drop led by the kids at the heart of this mission.

  • LivFree Families — The children and families we serve are at the center of every showcase — on the ice, in the ceremonies, and in the moments that remind everyone exactly who we play for.

  • Special Hockey GuestsElite stick-handling specialist, coach, and content creator: Pavel Barber, joined by Olly Postanin of On.The.Bench will take the ice during the opening warm ups and first shifts of the game. They will also be available for meet and greets and autographs in the concourse. Presented in partnership with Reel Hockey League.

  • Watch the Game Begin — Be there for the first sessions of the 24 Hour Marathon and cheer on the players who'll be on that ice all night.

  • Meet & Greet — Meet the hockey personalities and connect with the LivFree community in the concourse.

  • Concourse Experience — Select showcases feature concessions, vendors, sponsors, and kid-friendly activities. See your event page for details.

What to expect as a 24 Hour Hockey player

Over 80 adult hockey players will come together to raise funds and play a continuous 24-hour hockey game to benefit LivFree, a pediatric cancer nonprofit.
The game will be played at the elite facilities of Bright-Landry Hockey Center - Home of Harvard University Crimson. Participants will play, eat and sleep at the ice rink.

Players will use their passion for hockey as a platform for hope. Each participant is responsible for raising $1500. This number is significant because it is the average cost to support a LivFree family and provide children and families impacted by pediatric cancer a moment of joy. Each skater on the ice symbolically represents a family sponsored.

What Players Are Saying

“It was 11 out of 10… I had an amazing time. It became like an emotional journey—we were all pushing through together. We get to do this because others can’t… that’s what kept me going.”

— Mike, Michigan player

“I’ll be honest—I don’t do a ton of charity stuff—but this felt different. You could tell the people running it really care, and by the end of it, it kind of shifted for me. I started out doing it because I just enjoy playing hockey, but by the end of it, it felt like I was part of something bigger. It was cool to be a part of something that’s actually doing something positive.”

— Austin, Michigan player

“I drove home from the event with a big smile on my face. I didn’t really know what to expect going into it—I was honestly a little nervous—but once you’re in it, it’s just an incredible experience. I haven’t been able to stop talking about it since. I’ve already been telling people across my network, if this comes near you, you should do it. It’s kind of like getting a tattoo—you immediately want to do another one.”

— Chris, Connecticut player

"It was an experience of a lifetime… it was more beautiful than words almost express. Everyone was like family, and it felt like a family event. Seeing those kids… that was my favorite part of the whole thing."

— Justin, Michigan player

It was absolutely amazing from start to finish… we had such a great time that we’re already talking about doing it again next year.”

— Nick, Michigan player

"This event was one of the most proud moments of my life and I cannot express how much I loved it. "

— Tyler, Connecticut player

Fundraising: Playing for a Purpose

The LivSports 24 Hour Hockey Marathon is more than a game — it’s about creating Moments of Joy for families impacted by pediatric cancer.

Every player on the ice represents a family that LivFree supports — meaning your effort, your fundraising, and your heart directly bring joy to a child and relief to parents who need it most.

Your Commitment

Each player commits to raising $1,500 in support of LivFree’s mission.
That $1,500 represents one family — one child’s day of joy, one moment that helps them forget about cancer and simply live free.

  • A credit card is collected at registration to secure your spot.

  • Any amount not raised by the designated fundraising deadline will be charged to the card on file.

  • Don’t worry — we’re here to help you every step of the way.

How We Support You

We know fundraising can feel daunting, but you’re not alone. Our team provides:

  • A personalized fundraising page you can customize and shareable links

  • Custom flyers and social media templates to spread the word

  • Tips, tricks, and encouragement throughout the months leading up to the game

Our past players consistently share that, with a little effort and a lot of heart, reaching $1,000 is absolutely achievable — and incredibly rewarding.

Impact Partner Christopher’s Haven

For our Boston area 24-Hour Hockey Marathons, LivFree is proud to support Christopher’s Haven, a nonprofit that has been helping families of children undergoing pediatric cancer treatment in Boston for over 25 years.

Through the funds raised by our Marathon players LivFree will be able to provide meaningful Moments of Joy for families staying at Christopher’s Haven during treatment.

When you skate at Warrior or Harvard, your impact reaches beyond the rink — supporting families where they rest, heal, and hold onto hope.

This is more than hockey.
It’s hope in motion.
It’s joy on ice.
It’s what LivFree is all about.
