Baseball is where it all began for LivSports.

Back in 2019, LivFree held its first sports jamboree fundraiser with youth baseball teams. Now we’ve proudly grown a community of over 3,000 athletes across a growing list of sports.

Jamborees

Our Jamborees provides a community-based youth sports event where youth baseball and softball teams compete in a friendly-competitive format and raise funds to support families battling pediatric cancer. The event includes games, food trucks, music, sponsor booths and fun activities.

Tournaments

As LivFree continues to grow, so does our impact. In addition to our Jamborees, we are expanding into competitive tournament experiences that maintain our mission while offering a higher level of play. These tournaments provide teams with a traditional competitive format while still fundraising to support pediatric cancer families and advancing awareness through youth athletics.

Camps

At the LivSports Baseball Camp, the LivSports Champion’s Curriculum and guiding principles are developmentally adapted for each specific age group and are purposefully ingrained in all the activities and drills participants will take part in.

The seal includes a scene with a sailing ship on water, a train, a red carriage, and agricultural produce. The cityscape with buildings and bridges is in the background, and the seal is encircled by a blue band with gold text stating city name, state, and founding year 1836.

Get Involved

  • LivSports partners with youth leagues, clubs, schools, and adult teams that want to play with purpose. By hosting a camp, jamboree, or special event, sports programs can bring their athletes together to support pediatric cancer families while strengthening team culture and community connection.

  • Our volunteers are the heartbeat of LivSports. From helping run events to supporting athletes and families on site, volunteers bring energy, compassion, and teamwork to every moment. Whether you have a few hours or want a recurring role, your time directly creates joy and hope for pediatric cancer families.

  • Local businesses and corporate partners fuel the impact of LivSports. Sponsorships help cover event costs, fund programs, and provide scholarships so every athlete can participate. In return, sponsors gain meaningful community visibility and the opportunity to stand behind a mission that brings families joy when they need it most.

  • LivSports is committed to ensuring every athlete — regardless of financial circumstances — has access to our camps, jamborees, and marathon events. Scholarships remove barriers to participation, allowing young people to grow their game, serve their community, and support families fighting pediatric cancer.

Whether you are a program, coach, athlete, or beyond, we’d love to hear from you. Use the form below to get involved and connect with the LivSports team.

Purpose behind our Passion

About LivFree

At LivFree, our mission is to support children and families impacted by pediatric cancer by helping create moments of hope and joy.

Moments of Joy are meaningful experiences—big or small—that provide opportunities for connection, healing, renewed hope and joy. They offer childhood cancer patients, along with their siblings and parents, a break from hospital visits and hard days. They help families make lasting memories and experience hope through moments of joy.

Why Sports?

Sports have long been a vital part of LivFree's mission. For years, LivFree has provided opportunities for children and their families to attend professional sporting events, offering them a chance to step away from the challenges of their cancer journey and focus on family and fun.

Building on this tradition, LivFree began engaging with the Connecticut youth sports community to raise funds for these joyful experiences. Through events like the LivFree Baseball Jamboree, the transformative power of youth sports beyond just fundraising was discovered. These events fostered a sense of camaraderie and community that transcended the usual competitive nature of youth sports, creating a unique atmosphere of unity and support.

Inspired by this impact, LivFree has launched LivSports: a platform that harnesses the widespread appeal and accessibility of youth sports to spread hope, build awareness, and rally support for the pediatric cancer community. By integrating our cause with something so deeply ingrained in our communities, we aim to create lasting change and hope for those who need it most.
